Al-Nuaimi reviews activities and programs of Faculty of Agriculture at Sana’a University

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Muhammad Saleh Al-Nuaimi, and with him the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Eng. Abdul Malik Al-Thawr, visited on Wednesday the College of Agriculture at Sana’a University.

Al-Nuaimi and Minister Al-Thawr, along with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation – Vice-Chairman of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, were briefed on the activities and programs implemented by the college and its capabilities to keep pace with modern scientific technologies.

The senior political member of the President of Sana’a University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, and the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Adel Al-Washli, listened to an explanation about the education programs in the college and its contribution to graduating cadres of engineers in various agricultural disciplines to supplement the agricultural labor market, in a way that contributes to strengthening the efforts made and directions for the advancement of the agricultural sector and strengthening its role. in food security.

Al-Nuaimi stressed the need to focus on the scientific and academic side to find qualified outputs and to focus on the scientific agricultural sector in order to achieve self-sufficiency and a comprehensive agricultural renaissance.

He noted the equipment and laboratories owned by the College of Agriculture at Sana’a University, based on its importance to be a scientific edifice to serve the fields of agricultural development and to supply the labor market and the agricultural sector with engineers and qualified cadres in various disciplines.

He urged the need for continuous coordination, cooperation and integration of roles between the college and the concerned authorities in the agricultural sector and directing efforts towards the advancement of this important vital sector, in a way that contributes to overcoming all difficulties and obstacles as a result of the continued aggression and blockade.

The senior political member emphasized the keenness to provide possible support and facilities to enable the college to carry out its tasks in building and qualifying cadres of agricultural engineers in the scientific and applied fields.
