The Agricultural and Fisheries Committee in Sana'a province, headed by governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi, discussed a mechanism for activating the associations' activities at the isolation level.
The meeting reviewed the projects and administrative and technical work accomplished at the level of each of the sectoral associations according to the outputs of the previous meeting.
The meeting discussed the projects of the 1445 AH plan, and the procedures for establishing associations and activating their activities, in a way that contributes to the advancement of local development, especially in remote areas.
It stressed the importance of doubling efforts in promoting the work and outputs of the associations, in a way that contributes to reaching real partners to support the associations and market agricultural products.
It stressed the need to activate the role of the isolation cooperative societies, and to assign a public relations official for each association to promote its activities and open areas of cooperation with other parties, in addition to nominating accountants for the isolation societies that were selected within the models.
The meeting instructed the Offices of Planning and Development and Social Affairs and the sector associations to draw up a study for the establishment of development cooperative associations in the districts and sub-districts. The Agricultural Finance Unit in the province should fund the study and they obligated the officials of the sector associations to submit plans to establish associations in the districts and hand them over to the Office of Social Affairs within a week.
It touched on the procedures for enrolling students in the college of agriculture, and assigned the management of associations in the sectors to quickly raise those who wish to join the college from the rural districts, by two students and a third veterinarian from each district.
At the meeting, governor al-Hadi stressed the importance of concerted efforts to make the work of the associations a success, considering the new year a year for establishing the daily development work of the associations, and starting work according to the paths of construction and development to achieve a development renaissance in the various districts of the provinces.
Al-Hadi stressed the necessity of evaluating the work of associations, correcting mistakes, and addressing shortcomings and stumbling blocks, in order to reach performance indicators, enhance aspects of success, and disseminate them to everyone.
