AEA and JBA Partner to Enhance Beekeeping Skills in Jordan

Amman: Head of Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA), Ali Abu Nuqta, and Chairman of Jordanian Beekeepers Association (JBA), Muath Kazem, have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing the capabilities of agricultural engineers in the fields of beekeeping and honey production.

According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement seeks to integrate the Kingdom's beekeeping sector within the AEA-approved training activities. It includes implementing practical programs designed to enhance the capacities of agricultural engineers. This initiative is intended to increase awareness of the crucial role bees play in supporting agricultural production and maintaining ecological balance.

The AEA highlighted that the agreement's goal is to equip Jordan's agricultural engineers with skills in modern technologies related to apiary management and hive production. This will enable them to either enter the job market or boost their existing production projects, thereby benefiting the agricultural sector.

The agreement also outlines plans to launch awareness initiatives aimed at developing joint marketing tools. These tools are expected to support the distribution of Jordanian bee products and improve their market competitiveness.

During the signing ceremony, both parties emphasized that this partnership is a strategic step towards empowering agricultural professionals. It aims to capitalize on a promising sector that is experiencing growth due to its significant impact on achieving agricultural sustainability and economic support.
