Adaileh, Egyptian health minister discuss boosting cooperation

Jordan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Amjad Adaileh, on Sunday met with Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, on issues of common interest in health cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting covered ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in medical and public health sectors, exchange expertise and develop medical resources that characterize both Jordan and Egypt in health, medical care, epidemic control and crisis management fields.

The meeting also discussed mechanisms for enhancing coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to provide training opportunities in local hospitals for Jordanian medical students in Egyptian universities in order to inspect health expertise in Egypt.

In the field of pharmaceuticals and agreements signed between the two countries to strengthen cooperation and investments in this sector, Adaileh and Abdel Ghaffar discussed expanding the registration of Jordanian medicines with professional authorities in Egypt, in addition to including Dead Sea products in the list of pharmaceuticals as they include therapeutic and healing componants fro many diseases.
