ACC exports up 20pct in nine months

In the first nine months of 2022, the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) issued certificates of origin for goods exported to Arab and foreign countries worth JD658 million, a 20.6 percent increase from JD545 million in the previous reporting period.

 

Certificates issued in 2022’s January-September period totaled 27,048 compared to 28,988 in 2021, a 6.7 percent decrease, according to ACC statistics released Monday.

 

In its country breakdown of the figures, the ACC noted that 6,923 certificates were issued for shipments exported to Saudi Arabia, followed by Kuwait (5,255), the United Arab Emirates (3,591), Iraq (1,044), and Egypt (784).

 

Iraq received JD160 million in Jordanian exports, followed by Egypt JD94 million, Saudi Arabia JD84 million, the UAE JD59 million, and Kuwait JD29 million.

 

Furthermore, the value of re-exports (exports of foreign products) was JD280 million during the same period, while industrial exports were JD169 million, agricultural exports were JD127 million, and Arab products were JD56 million.
