Historical Sites in Madinah Attract Visitors and Umrah Performers

The city of Madinah is rich with Islamic and historical heritage, as it is the city of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

The Kingdom's leadership has paid great attention to historical mosques and sites related to the Prophet in Madinah. One example is the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, which was announced in 2018 to restore mosques to allow the Kingdom to share its rich culture and history with the world.

Pilgrims and visitors to Madinah are keen to visit the mosques and tour the various historical landmarks. They will pray in the Prophet's Mosque and the Quba, Al-Qiblatain, Al Fatah, Al-Ghamamah, Al-Ijabah, and Al-Miqat mosques, and explore places of religious significance, such as the sites of the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of the Trench.
