Amman:Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Dr. Ibrahim Tarawneh, chaired the first meeting of a newly formed committee tasked with drafting the Reply to the Speech from the Throne.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting, held on Thursday, included the participation of First Deputy Speaker, MP Ayat Allah Freihat. The committee was established by the House's Permanent Bureau through consultation and agreement with parliamentary blocs and independent members.
During the meeting, Dr. Tarawneh, on behalf of the response committee and all lawmakers, expressed "deepest gratitude and appreciation" to His Majesty King Abdullah II for inaugurating the third ordinary session of the 20th Parliament and delivering the Speech from the Throne. He emphasized that the Royal directives in the speech outline a path for the coming phase and highlight priorities for national action.
The committee, consisting of 26 deputies, represents the various parliamentary blocs and independent MPs within the House.
