Amman:The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has issued a renewed warning to residents as heavy rain and thunderstorms increase the risk of flash floods in parts of the Kingdom, particularly in valleys and low-lying areas.
According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD highlighted that current weather conditions are causing scattered showers, which could intensify briefly and trigger flash floods. The public is advised to steer clear of valleys and flood channels and avoid crossing roads or areas where rainwater has accumulated.
Motorists have been cautioned to drive carefully, especially in regions impacted by rainfall or where visibility is reduced due to fog and dust. The PSD also emphasized the importance of adhering to official weather warnings and safety instructions and advised residents to contact the unified emergency number, 911, for assistance when necessary.
