Baku:Balqa The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, along with the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), conducted a significant operation in the South Shuna and Al-Kafrein areas of the Balqa governorate to identify and dismantle illegal water connections.
According to Jordan News Agency, the campaign led to the discovery of 18 unauthorized water connections. These connections were supplying water to various establishments, including farms, a commercial complex, large pools, private residences, and chalets.
The authorities involved in the operation, which included the Jordan Water Company ("Miyahuna") and the Public Security Directorate (PSD), removed the illegal fixtures and filed official reports on the violations. The ministry emphasized its dedication to protecting citizens' water rights and ensuring compliance with the law.
The Ministry of Water and Irrigation expressed its appreciation for the support and cooperation received from the Ministry of Interior, the PSD, and the Judicial Council in this endeavor to protect water resources.
