Karak:Senate Speaker Faisal Al-Fayez has condemned a terrorist attack carried out by unidentified gunmen against attendees of a funeral at Hamoud Church in Karak.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Fayez described the incident as a terrorist act and called on the authorities to quickly apprehend the perpetrators and impose the harshest penalties. He expressed confidence in the security agencies' ability to identify and arrest those responsible.
Al-Fayez stated that the attack was an assault on Jordan and its citizens, aiming to undermine the country's national unity and the Muslim-Christian fraternity. He emphasized the importance of preserving peaceful coexistence and urged Jordanians to stand against those spreading hate speech and advancing suspicious agendas.
He highlighted Jordan's pride in its Hashemite leadership, which promotes coexistence, love, and harmony. Al-Fayez concluded by extending condolences to the families of the deceased and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
