Jordan Tourism Board Concludes TTG Travel Experience Participation in Italy

Rimini:The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has successfully wrapped up its involvement in the TTG Travel Experience 2024, which took place in Rimini, Italy, from October 14-16. This participation included 20 Jordanian tourism entities and organizations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative was aimed at enhancing Jordan's visibility in European markets, with a specific focus on attracting Italian tourists and showcasing the Kingdom's varied tourism offerings. JTB spokesperson Hani Dabbas noted that the board conducted approximately 25 meetings with Italian tour operators, travel agents, and digital platforms to discuss potential marketing partnerships and the development of tourism programs suited to European travelers.

A highlight of the board's efforts was the "Jordanian Night" event in Rimini, which attracted over 80 Italian tourism professionals and media representatives. The event focused on Jordan's tourism advancements, notably the Baptism Site (Al-Maghtas) and the upcoming 2030 commemoration of 2,000 years since the baptism of Jesus Christ. The event also promoted Jordan's events and festivals calendar, aiming to encourage longer stays by visitors.

Dabbas emphasized that the JTB is collaborating with tourism partners to turn these meetings into actionable partnerships, aiming to boost visitor numbers and support tourism businesses, thereby enhancing the sector's contribution to Jordan's national economy. He added that the participation in the fair, alongside an outdoor advertising campaign in Rimini, is part of a broader strategy to establish long-term partnerships with Italy's tourism sector, positioning Jordan as a safe destination offering a rich array of cultural, religious, natural, and adventure experiences through 2027 and beyond.
