Jordan Customs Department Intercepts Drug Smuggling Attempt

Jakarta:The Jordan Customs Department's Anti-Smuggling Directorate successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle drugs into the country, seizing 296 slabs of hashish and six kilograms of marijuana.

According to Jordan News Agency, the operation was part of the department's ongoing efforts to prevent narcotics from entering Jordan. The patrols acted within their jurisdiction to carry out the operation.

The department emphasized that the success of the operation was due to an integrated approach and effective cooperation with various security agencies. This collaboration has strengthened monitoring and enforcement measures, enhancing readiness to counter smuggling attempts and ensuring public safety and community security.

The department further reiterated its commitment to protecting Jordanian society and the national economy. It continues to intensify field and monitoring efforts while maintaining close coordination with security agencies, notably the Public Security Directorate's Anti-Narcotics Department, to combat the spread of narcotics and safeguard the nation's security and stability.
