Amman:Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Majdi Al Harasis conducted a visit to a border guard unit, where he was welcomed by the regional commander.
According to Jordan News Agency, Maj. Gen. Al-Harasis, accompanied by senior Armed Forces officers, received a briefing on the unit's operational, training, and security plans. The briefing highlighted the unit's readiness to address various challenges and maintain border security.
During his visit, Al-Harasis inspected several border facilities and positions, assessing the operational procedures and technical equipment used to secure the nation's borders.
In his concluding remarks, the Chairman emphasized the critical role of border guard units in addressing regional security issues. He stressed the importance of deploying advanced capabilities to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts, thereby safeguarding national security.
