Insured Individuals in Jordan Increase by 4.3 Percent

Amman:The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has reported a significant increase in the number of active insured individuals in Jordan, reaching 1,685,387 by the end of September. This marks a 4.3 percent rise compared to the 1,615,664 recorded during the same period last year.

According to Jordan News Agency, the SSC attributes this growth to strategic measures aimed at expanding social protection across various workforce sectors. Key initiatives include improved electronic integration with government entities, automated onboarding processes, the inclusion of foreign workers, and targeted field inspections.

The SSC's inter-agency data integration efforts have been instrumental in identifying uninsured workers. To enhance foreign labor coverage, an electronic notification system has been implemented to alert businesses that are not compliant with regularizing worker statuses, ensuring automatic enrollment when necessary.

Furthermore, the SSC has reached out to numerous active sole proprietorships with valid business licenses to confirm their operational status and register eligible employees. Field inspections have been conducted to verify actual workplace operations, enforce legal compliance, and protect workers' insurance rights.
