Amman:The Jordan Industrial Estates Company (JIEC) has introduced a Partnership Council designed to facilitate ongoing consultation between the company's management and investor representatives.
According to Jordan News Agency, the council's primary objectives include enhancing services, establishing direct communication channels for ideas and feedback, and supporting investment promotion efforts.
JIEC Board Chairman Obeid Yassin emphasized that the council was formed after multiple meetings between the board, executive management, and investors. He noted that it offers a "sustainable institutional" framework to address investor concerns and find solutions.
JIEC Director General Adi Obeidat highlighted that the council will transition communication from meetings and field visits to a continuous framework, enabling regular follow-up on pressing issues and quicker responses to investor needs. The council comprises representatives from all company estates across various sectors.
Former head of the Jordan and Amman chambers of industry, Fathi Jaghbir, commended the initiative, predicting that it would yield promising and positive outcomes.
The initial meeting marked the launch of the council's founding charter, which will guide its activities. Members have agreed to convene regular meetings, reinforcing the estates' roles in attracting investment, creating jobs, and promoting local development.
