Jeddah:Ten Jordanian factories from the leather and garment sectors participated in the Saudi Fashiontex Expo, which took place in Jeddah from September 24 to 27.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) announced that the participation aimed to enhance the presence of Jordanian products in the Saudi market and explore new export opportunities and commercial collaborations.
The International Trade Centre (ITC), in collaboration with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, facilitated the factories' involvement through the MENATEX project. This included coordinating the factories' presence and managing the arrangements for the Jordanian pavilion at the expo.
The Jordanian pavilion highlighted the range of products and manufacturing capabilities within the country's leather and garment sectors. Factories displayed a variety of items such as professional uniforms, women's clothing, embroidered goods, heritage-inspired products, and men's suits, providing visitors and buyers with insights into Jordanian manufacturing potential.
The Jordanian factories also participated in several business-to-business (B2B) meetings with potential companies and buyers. These discussions were focused on showcasing products, understanding the Saudi market's needs, and exploring opportunities for commercial cooperation, supply agreements, and new partnerships.
Throughout the exhibition, the Jordanian pavilion attracted visits and meetings with various companies, buyers, and industry professionals, offering manufacturers the chance to network directly and present their products and production capabilities.
