Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday received a copy of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission's 2025 annual report. Fayez received the report from Commission Board Chairman Hazem Majali in the presence of several board members.
According to Jordan News Agency, Fayez expressed the Senate's support for the Commission's initiatives aimed at enhancing integrity, justice, and the rule of law, while also tackling corruption and safeguarding public funds. He affirmed the Senate's commitment to collaborating with the Commission on legislative proposals that fall within its scope. Fayez emphasized that the report would undergo a detailed review by the Senate's relevant committees in coordination with concerned authorities to address the issues highlighted in the report.
Fayez further noted that the Senate would strive to address any legislative barriers impeding the Commission's work and underscored the significance of implementing preventive measures and proactive verification procedures.
Majali, on his part, presented the report's core findings and recommendations, which focus on fortifying the Commission's role, enhancing its operational methods, protecting public funds, and addressing financial and administrative violations. He also discussed the Commission's efforts in awareness and education activities, its initiatives to bolster the national integrity and governance framework, and its future objectives.
