Amman: Environment Minister Aiman Soleiman and Australian Ambassador to Jordan Paula Ganly met on Wednesday to explore expanding cooperation in environmental protection, climate action, and sustainable development. Soleiman emphasized the Kingdom's priorities, including the green and circular economy, climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable waste management, with a focus on leveraging Australian expertise in these fields.
According to Jordan News Agency, the officials discussed drafting a memorandum of understanding to institutionalize cooperation, facilitate knowledge exchange, and advance joint projects in alignment with the sustainable environment driver of Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision. Ganly expressed Australia's desire to deepen cooperation on shared environmental and developmental goals, highlighting the strong ties between Amman and Canberra.
