Warm Weather Forecast Ahead of Monday Heatwave: JMD

Amman: The weather on Saturday will be warm in most areas, and sweltering in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, as winds will be moderate northwesterly. In its report, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warns of the possibility of low horizontal visibility due to dust, mainly in desert areas, and advises against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak hours in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. According to Jordan News Agency, the weather forecast on Sunday will remain substantially flat. On Monday, the Kingdom will be affected by a hot air mass coming from the Arabian Peninsula, causing temperatures to rise by about 4-5 degrees Celsius above their seasonal average. The JMD said the weather will be hot in most areas, and blistering in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. On Tuesday, temperatures will rise slightly and the effect of the hot spell will deepen across the Kingdom. Today's maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman will ra nge between 36 and 19 degrees Celsius, while the northern mountains will stand at a 32-19C level, the desert regions at 40-23C, and the plains at 34-20C. Meanwhile, the JMD said the Dead Sea and Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 40C, dropping to 29C at night.
