Crown Prince Al Hussein Reviews Jordan-EU Investment Conference Preparations

Amman: His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II chaired a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace to review preparations for the upcoming Jordan-European Union Investment Conference, set to be held on 19 November at the Dead Sea. During the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, the Crown Prince emphasized the necessity of presenting targeted investment opportunities in key national sectors and urged for the swift execution of plans to enhance the investment climate and ensure business readiness.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Crown Prince highlighted the critical role of integrated public-private partnerships in removing investment obstacles and enhancing business collaboration between Jordan and the EU. He called on the government and related institutions to promptly act on conference recommendations, emphasizing the importance of using clear metrics to track and measure the conference's impact on the national economy.

His Royal Highness received an update from Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh regarding the conference preparations, agenda, investment opportunities to be showcased, and organizational arrangements. The Jordan-EU Investment Conference is anticipated to significantly advance Jordan-EU economic relations by facilitating connections between European investors and Jordan's private sector, fostering high-quality investments and practical projects.

The meeting also included the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh, Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Soud, Minister of Transport and Minister of Labour Nidal Katamine, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain.
