Tripoli: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Baour, engaged in discussions with Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, focusing on bilateral relations and security issues. This meeting occurred during the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting highlighted the strong fraternal relations between Libya and Tunisia. Tunisian Foreign Minister Nafti expressed gratitude for the support extended by Libya to Tunisia across various levels.
The dialogue addressed key security issues, particularly the fight against smuggling and human trafficking. Both ministers emphasized the need for enhanced security coordination and increased bilateral cooperation to ensure stability and security in both nations.
On the economic front, discussions explored the development of economic cooperation, joint infrastructure projects, investment encouragement, and the activation of the free trade zone. These measures aim to boost trade exchange and contribute to economic integration between the two countries.
