House Speaker Expresses Sympathy at Qatari Embassy Over Former Emir’s Passing

Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Mazen Al-Qadi visited the Qatari Embassy in Amman on Tuesday to offer condolences on the passing of the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Al-Qadi was received at the embassy by the Qatari Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani.

According to Jordan News Agency, during the visit, Al-Qadi signed the condolence book, expressing deep sorrow and sincere sympathies on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the Lower House. This gesture underscored the strong bilateral relations between Jordan and Qatar, as well as the mutual respect shared between their leaders.

Earlier, Al-Qadi sent a cable of condolences to the Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim. In the cable, he conveyed the sympathies of the Jordanian parliament and praised the late Emir's legacy of national and humanitarian contributions. Al-Qadi highlighted Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's prominent role in Qatar's development and his active support for Arab and Islamic causes, reflecting on the enduring impact of his leadership on the region.
