Amman: The Chief Commissioner and CEO of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Captain Daifallah Al-Farajat, met on Tuesday with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan, Shahin Abdullayev, to discuss boosting bilateral relations in civil aviation and air transport. The discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation and addressing operational challenges facing their national carriers.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on practical solutions to ensure smooth operations that serve the mutual interests of both nations. Emphasis was placed on joint marketing efforts to promote Jordan as a tourist destination for Azerbaijani citizens. The officials also explored cooperation opportunities between Azerbaijan Airlines and Royal Jordanian, following Azerbaijan Airlines' launch of a weekly flight from Baku to Amman.
Jordan and Azerbaijan are connected through an "Open Skies" air transport agreement, facilitating the expansion of air traffic and passenger travel. This agreement lays the groundwork for further collaboration and increased connectivity between the two countries.
