Amman: The Ministry of Social Development signed an agreement with Taiwan's Tzu Chi Foundation on Monday to implement support programs at several government care centers.
According to Jordan News Agency, the deal, signed by Social Development Minister Wafa Bani Mustafa and Tzu Chi representative Chiou-Hwa Chen, will empower beneficiaries with life skills, self-discipline, and the support needed for successful social integration.
The first phase will bring sports, recreation, and tailored development programs to children at the Amman and Irbid care homes, focusing on improving their overall psychological, social, and physical well-being.
The minister announced plans to eventually expand the program to care centers nationwide. She applauded the Tzu Chi Foundation's partnership with the ministry, pointing to its history of humanitarian and charitable initiatives alongside local organizations.
Chen praised the ministry's vital support in implementing local social programs and pledged the foundation's commitment to the partnership.
