Amman: The MENA Travel Market 2026 conference commenced in Amman on Tuesday, held under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Imad Hijazin. The forum drew widespread participation from global tourism boards, airlines, hospitality brands, and travel agencies, gathering representatives from 22 countries and attracting more than 2,500 visitors and hospitality sector specialists.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event is regarded as one of the region's premier specialized tourism events. It serves as an industry platform, bringing together policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, build strategic partnerships, and explore the latest investment opportunities and trends across the travel, tourism, and aviation sectors.
The event featured panel discussions and dedicated business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions focused on the future of global tourism, alongside the integration of technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainability in industry development. Organizers noted that the forum aligns with strategic national efforts to solidify Jordan's position as a regional hub for tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) while driving tourism growth both regionally and internationally.
