Baghdad: Iraq's Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) announced Monday that the country's airspace is reopened to flights arriving at or departing from all its airports, with air operations resuming under approved operational procedures.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ICAA had announced a temporary closure of its airspace on Sunday evening following a flareup of tension in the region. The closure was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of all flights and passengers.
In a statement today, the ICAA confirmed that the decision to reopen the airspace covers the resumption of air traffic across all airports in Iraq, ensuring a smooth movement of flights. The authority emphasized that it will continue to monitor and assess the regional situation in coordination with relevant authorities to maintain the highest levels of safety and security.
