Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Jordan’s Senate President Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Manama: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received Senate President Faisal Fayez and his delegation at Qudaibiya Palace during an official visit to the kingdom. Fayez conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II to Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prince Salman, along with wishes for their health and Bahrain's prosperity.

According to Jordan News Agency, Prince Salman emphasized the strength of Bahraini-Jordanian relations, highlighting their historical ties and cooperation, supported by King Hamad and King Abdullah II. He expressed the need to develop bilateral relations to fulfill shared aspirations, promoting prosperity for both nations.

The discussions focused on cooperation across various sectors, with a call for enhanced parliamentary and legislative collaboration. Prince Salman acknowledged King Abdullah II's efforts in advancing bilateral relations and appreciated Jordan's support for Bahrain in addressing regional challenges.

Fayez expressed gratitude for Prince Salman's dedication to enhancing Bahrain-Jordan cooperation and wished for Bahrain's continued progress. He praised the relationship between the two countries as a model of mutual respect and constructive cooperation.

Fayez noted the visit signifies the Jordanian Senate's commitment to expanding cooperation in economic, investment, and parliamentary fields. He emphasized the strategic partnership between Jordan and Bahrain, rooted in solidarity and cooperation, serving as a model for joint Arab action.

He reiterated Jordan's commitment to strengthening ties with Bahrain, driven by the leaderships' shared commitment to cooperation. Fayez highlighted joint positions on Arab and regional issues, including the Palestinian cause and confronting regional threats.

Fayez condemned Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain, and GCC countries, echoing King Abdullah II's rejection of these actions. He stressed the interconnected security and stability of Jordan, Bahrain, and the GCC.

The meeting saw the participation of several Jordanian senators and Jordan's Ambassador to Bahrain. From the Bahraini side, key officials including the Chairman of the Shura Council and Deputy Prime Minister were in attendance.
