GCC Calls on International Community to Stop Iranian Attacks

Amman: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, on Monday expressed the council's strong condemnation of the "blatant Iranian attacks" targeting the United Arab Emirates. In a statement issued by the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh, Albudaiwi characterized the hostilities as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of a member state and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability.

According to Jordan News Agency, Albudaiwi stated that the targeting of the UAE is unacceptable by all standards and reflects an escalatory approach that disregards the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness. Albudaiwi called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to halt these repeated Iranian attacks and put an immediate end to irresponsible actions that undermine regional and international peace and security.

He reaffirmed the council's full and unwavering solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing that the GCC stands united with the UAE in all measures it takes to protect its security, safeguard its sovereignty, and maintain the safety of its vital facilities.
