Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces arrested 20 Palestinians on Monday in search-and-arrest raids across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, which saw troops searching and ransacking dozens of homes, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said. The raids touched off clashes with local people in several locations, where soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades, causing injuries and suffocation of a number of protesters.
According to Jordan News Agency, in occupied Jerusalem, Arab resident Mohammad Mashahra was ordered by the Israeli municipality to evacuate his home in Sur Baher, an Arab neighborhood on the southeastern outskirts of East Jerusalem, for self-demolition. The municipality said the house, built in 2018 and is home to six people, was built without a permit.
