Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan has issued an official circular ordering the closure of all ministries, government departments, public institutions, public universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and wholly state-owned companies on Monday, May 25, in observance of Jordan's Independence Day. According to Jordan News Agency, in a separate circular issued on the same day, the Prime Minister designated the Eid Al-Adha holiday period from the morning of Tuesday, May 26, through the evening of Saturday, May 30. Both circulars excluded ministries and public institutions whose nature of work requires otherwise, allowing them to continue operating as needed.
