Justice, Digital Economy Ministers, Public Security Chief Discuss Digital Transformation

Amman: A joint meeting was held at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Monday to discuss accelerating digital transformation projects between the Ministries of Justice and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Public Security Directorate.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting brought together Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smirat, and PSD Director Major General Obaidullah Maayta. They discussed completed digital transformation projects and programs and their impact on services and facilities provided to citizens.

The discussions aimed to develop a vision for new projects currently underway or planned for the future, with the goal of fully automating services by the PSD and the Ministries of Justice and Digital Economy.

Minister Talhouni emphasized his ministry's commitment to closer cooperation with the PSD as a key partner in supporting the justice system and law enforcement, particularly in developing judicial procedures and integrating them with security aspects. He highlighted the success of the remote trial program, which has streamlined litigation procedures and saved time and effort.

Talhouni also mentioned ongoing digital projects that will soon be implemented, enhancing litigation procedures and providing comprehensive electronic services offered by the ministry and its partners, including the PSD and other state institutions.

Minister Smirat underscored the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship's leadership in digital transformation projects in collaboration with various state institutions. He noted that the PSD, with its various departments and units, is a key partner with whom the ministry has completed numerous projects and streamlined service procedures.
