Army Intercepts Iranian Missiles and Drones Targeting Jordanian Territory

Amman: The Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army announced on Sunday that Iran targeted the Kingdom's territory in the past 24 hours. The Royal Jordanian Air Force successfully intercepted two Iranian missiles and two drones aimed at locations within Jordan, demonstrating "complete efficiency" in neutralizing the threat.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Military Media Directorate of JAF confirmed these developments, highlighting the swift response of the Royal Jordanian Air Force in safeguarding the Kingdom's airspace. In addition, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) reported that relevant units responded to 18 incidents involving falling debris and projectiles over the same period.

A spokesperson for the PSD noted that, fortunately, no injuries resulted from these incidents, though some material damage was incurred. The spokesperson emphasized the importance of public safety, advising citizens to avoid approaching or interacting with any unfamiliar object or debris due to potential dangers.

The public is urged to report any suspicious objects to the security services via the emergency number 911. Authorities also stressed the importance of adhering to instructions from official sources and cautioned against spreading rumors or misleading information.
