Central Bank of Jordan Issues New Five-Dinar Banknote During Eid Holiday

Amman: The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) announced the release of five-dinar banknotes signed by the Minister of Finance and the CBJ Governor. These new banknotes were introduced into circulation during the Eid holiday.

According to Jordan News Agency, the CBJ emphasized that the newly released five-dinar notes are considered legal tender and are issued without any restrictions. These notes will circulate alongside previously issued banknotes of the same denomination.

The CBJ clarified that the newly released notes are part of the fifth series currently in circulation. They are identical to previous notes in design, appearance, and security features. The only difference is the signatures, which reflect different issuance dates but do not affect the authenticity or value of the banknotes.

The CBJ urged the public to verify the authenticity of banknotes by examining integrated security features such as the watermark, security thread, and microprinting. Further details are available on the CBJ's official website.
