Amman: The Ministry of Social Development: The Ministry of Social Development on Monday organized a group Ramadan iftar for orphans and children without family support who are beneficiaries of several care homes affiliated with the ministry.
According to Jordan News Agency, Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa, during the banquet held at Manhal International Schools, stated that organizing and holding Ramadan iftars for orphans and children without family support is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to integrate them and maintain their connection with their peers during the holy month of Ramadan and throughout the year. This initiative aligns with the values of solidarity and compassion.
Bani Mustafa praised the contributions of numerous volunteers, who are graduates of care homes, in organizing the gathering of orphaned children. The event aims to involve beneficiaries of the affiliated homes in social activities within a family atmosphere, featuring a Ramadan entertainment program that includes competitions and the distribution of gifts, with participation from several supervisors and caregivers from the care homes.
She further emphasized that, as part of continuous efforts to provide meaningful programs for orphans and children without family support, the ministry maintains cooperation and partnerships with the voluntary sector and civil society institutions. This collaboration aims to deliver services to the groups under its care in accordance with the highest standards of best practices.
The activities at the event included entertainment segments appropriate to the holy month of Ramadan and the distribution of gifts to participating orphaned children and those without family support.
