Israeli Army Detains 20 Palestinians and Settlers Ignite West Bank Mosque

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces on Monday apprehended 20 Palestinians during operations across the West Bank, as reported by the Palestinian Prisoners Club. These incursions involved the ransacking of numerous homes and the execution of field interrogations, leading to confrontations with local youths.

According to Jordan News Agency, Jewish settlers set a mosque ablaze near the towns of Sarra and Tell, located west of Nablus in the northern West Bank. In addition to the arson, racist graffiti was sprayed on the mosque's walls. The Tell local council indicated that the extremists employed flammable materials at the mosque's entrance and inscribed anti-Arab and anti-Muslim messages on its walls.

The Palestinian Ministry of Religious Affairs highlighted that in 2025, settler groups attacked 45 mosques in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, often under the protection of the occupation army. The ministry condemned these acts, labeling the burning of places of worship as a serious violation and a dangerous escalation.
