Zarqa January Exports Drop Significantly to JD33.9M

Zarqa: Chairperson of the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce Hussein Shreim announced that the value of Zarqa's commercial exports, including re-exports, was approximately JD33.9 million in January.

According to Jordan News Agency, Shreim provided these figures based on certificates of origin issued by the chamber and its office in the free zone, which amounted to 255 certificates. Vehicles and auto parts were the leading exports from the city, followed by construction materials, sanitary ware, pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs, clothing, jewelry, electrical and electronic appliances, and household and office furniture and stationery.

Shreim highlighted the decline in exports compared to December 2025, when they reached about JD83 million. There was also a decrease compared to January of the previous year, with exports then totaling approximately JD40 million.
