Amman: The Ministry of Social Development and the Zaha Cultural Center have formalized an agreement to deliver specialized training, psychological, and social services to children residing in the ministry's care and protection centers. The agreement was signed by Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa and the center's Executive Director Rania Sbeih.
According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement is a strategic move to enhance social integration and build essential life skills among vulnerable groups. Minister Bani Mustafa emphasized that the initiative targets 62 male and female beneficiaries, aged between 3 to 18 years. These participants will engage in three training courses, chosen from an array of 14 programs encompassing educational, cultural, artistic, and sports disciplines. Additionally, psychological sessions are included to support mental health and behavioral balance.
The protocol outlines that the center's Psychosocial Wellbeing Center will provide services based on specialist diagnostic assessments. Children will also have the opportunity to benefit from the center's diverse academies, which include music, sports, handicrafts, and creative thinking programs.
Bani Mustafa remarked that this partnership is in line with the ministry's vision to invest in human capital, aiming to empower children both developmentally and psychologically. She reiterated the ministry's dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes creativity and talent discovery, extending beyond basic care.
Rania Sbeih, representing the Zaha Cultural Center, highlighted the significance of this agreement in strengthening the partnership with the ministry to ensure a consistent standard of integrated service delivery across all 25 branches of the center nationwide.
Following the agreement signing, Minister Bani Mustafa toured the center to review its facilities and services, and interacted with beneficiaries to understand the impact of the center's safe and educational environment.
