Chinese Ambassador Highlights Strategic Sino-Jordanian Partnership

Amman: Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei emphasized the robust strategic partnership between Jordan and China across several sectors. In a press conference, the ambassador urged the global community to prioritize the Palestinian cause and promote peace and stability rather than engaging in further conflicts.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ambassador announced that Beijing is set to host the China-Arab States Summit in mid-2026, marking a significant step forward in enhancing bilateral relations. Guo applauded the recent visit of Wang Yi, a senior member of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese foreign minister, to Jordan as both successful and productive.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for Jordan's support of the One-China principle, recognizing the government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legitimate government representing China. He emphasized that China considers the Taiwan issue as central to its core interests and a red line that should not be crossed, calling for adherence to the One-China principle and affirming China's commitment to peaceful reunification.

He further remarked that China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has consistently reiterated that the Taiwan question is at the core of China's interests.
