Karak: The Ministry of Water and Irrigation/the Jordan Valley Authority announced on Monday evening that the Ibn Hammad Dam in the Karak Governorate is expected to overflow within the next few hours. The dam is currently nearing its maximum storage capacity of 4 million cubic meters. In response, the Authority has urged citizens, farmers, and residents living in areas downstream of the dam to take all necessary precautions and strictly follow the safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.
According to Jordan News Agency, the situation at the dam requires immediate attention from those living nearby to prevent any potential risks associated with the overflow. The authorities are monitoring the situation closely and are in the process of implementing measures to manage the water levels effectively.
