Amman: Mayor of Amman, Yousef Shawarbeh, on Thursday discussed with Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Andrea Kucerov¡, ways to strengthen cooperation and joint work between Amman and Prague.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting took place at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) headquarters, where Shawarbeh praised the “distinguished” Jordanian-Czech relations based on continuous cooperation across multiple fields. He outlined the GAM’s strategic plans and upcoming projects aimed at improving public services and enhancing quality of life, particularly in digital transformation, smart public transport, and other municipal sectors. These initiatives are part of efforts to transform Amman into a smart and sustainable city.
Shawarbeh affirmed GAM’s commitment to bolstering bilateral ties between Amman and Prague, supporting areas of joint work that serve both countries’ interests. In response, Ambassador Kucerov¡ commended Amman’s progress in various sectors and highlighted GAM’s efforts to upgrade infrastructure and improve service delivery for the city and its residents. The diplomat also expressed her government’s readiness to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in ways that benefit both nations.
