Amman: MP Mazen Qadi was unanimously elected as the new Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives during its second regular session. The election took place in a House session held on Sunday evening, under the chairmanship of MP Mujhim Sqour, who is the longest-serving lawmaker.
According to Jordan News Agency, the session was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan and members of the government team, who witnessed the unanimous decision in favor of MP Qadi. The decision marks a significant moment in the political proceedings of the Lower House, setting the stage for future legislative activities under Qadi’s leadership.
