Qatamin Advocates for Enhancing Jordan’s Transport and Digital Transformation

Amman: Minister of Transport, Dr. Nidal Qatamin, emphasized the need for improved operational and legislative procedures to provide safe, modern, and sustainable transportation services for citizens. During his visit to the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC), alongside its Director General, Riyad Kharabsheh, Qatamin underscored the importance of integrating modern technology into Jordan’s transport services to ensure their readiness for both citizens and operators.

According to Jordan News Agency, Qatamin urged the completion of digital transformation projects within the Kingdom’s transport sector, aligning with the programs of the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV) and the National Transport Strategy. He stressed the importance of timely implementation to enhance performance, including boosting the competencies of LTRC staff, implementing governance, financial and administrative oversight, and strengthening mechanisms for addressing complaints from citizens and operators effectively.

Kharabsheh highlighted the LTRC’s commitment to developing its services and improving performance efficiency. This aligns with the goals of the EMV and measures to improve services provided to citizens within the framework of the Ministry of Transport’s strategic directives and plans.
