Amman: Trading at the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) on Tuesday amounted to JD13.9 million, with 5.5 million shares changing hands through 4,528 transactions. The general index closed stronger at 3,072 points, posting a gain of 0.85 percent.
According to Jordan News Agency, the services index led the pack with a 1.55 percent rise. This was followed by the industrial sector, which increased by 0.51 percent, and the financial sector, which rose by 0.50 percent.
In terms of the day’s performance, 36 companies finished in the green, 24 in the red, while 37 remained unchanged.
