Karak: Director of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah on Sunday inaugurated the West Karak Police Station under the Karak Police Directorate and the Dabat Hanout Civil Defense Station under the Aqaba Civil Defense Directorate as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade security and humanitarian services provided to citizens.
According to Jordan News Agency, Maj. Gen. Maaytah stated that the opening of these units aligns with the Royal vision and the directives of the Hashemite leadership. The initiative aims to strengthen security and humanitarian response systems, expand service coverage, and ensure the delivery of efficient and professional services.

It also considers the region’s tourism dimension while delivering public services.
At the Dabat Hanout Civil Defense Station, Maaytah emphasized its role in reducing emergency response times and bridging distances between existing centers. This development is expected to ensure more efficient civil defense services and reinforce public safety in the region.
He further mentioned that the PSD is committed to its development strategy by enhancing the readiness of its field units. This includes equipping them with modern technologies and qualified personnel, in accordance with the demands of modern security operations, to strengthen public trust in security institutions.
