Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide arrest campaign across the West Bank on Tuesday, detaining 23 Palestinians, including former prisoners, while extremist settler gangs continued assaults against Palestinians and their property.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Palestinian Prisoners Society stated that occupation forces stormed several cities, including Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, al-Bireh, and Jericho. The forces fired heavy live ammunition during these raids and arrested 23 individuals on allegations of being wanted.
During the raid in central Ramallah, three Palestinians, including a 12-year-old child, were injured by live bullets. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that the wounded were near the vegetable market in downtown Ramallah as Israeli snipers positioned themselves on rooftops. All three individuals were transferred to the hospital. The Red Crescent also confirmed that Israeli forces fired rubber bullets at a journalists’ vehicle, causing damage.
In Jerusalem, dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque/al-Haram al-Sharif under Israeli police protection. The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals and provocative dances inside the compound.
