Amman: Minister of Transport, Dr. Nidal Qatamin, emphasized the necessity of integrating modern technology to develop the Kingdom’s transport sector, advocating for a comprehensive and unified database to connect all relevant institutions.
According to Jordan News Agency, during his meeting with Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC), Bassam Sarhan, Dr. Qatamin expressed the ministry’s commitment to improving current transport conditions to align with future requirements. He highlighted technology as a crucial tool for enhancing the services available to both citizens and the business sector.
Sarhan conveyed the commission’s readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Transport, offering the necessary expertise and capabilities to support the integration of technology within Jordan’s transport sector. He underscored the sector’s role in directly impacting citizens’ lives and facilitating the movement of goods and trade.
The Ministry of Transport statement noted that the meeting underscored the transport sector’s importance as a key pillar supporting the national economy and serving citizens. Both parties emphasized the need to advance the sector’s infrastructure and leverage modern technologies as a fundamental pillar to enhance its efficiency and sustainability.
