Ramtha: The New Ramtha Municipality met with a delegation from the German development agency GIZ on Sunday to discuss cooperation and the implementation of a waste sorting facility in the city.
According to Jordan News Agency, Jamal Abu Obeid, head of the municipal committee, emphasized the municipality’s commitment to partnerships that aim to enhance local services. The potential collaboration with GIZ is seen as a critical step toward achieving this goal.
Hani Abu Qudais from Jordan University of Science and Technology emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration for the successful execution of the project. This partnership is expected to leverage expertise from both sectors to address waste management challenges effectively.
Officials have stated that the proposed facility will play a crucial role in improving solid waste management. This initiative is also expected to promote environmental sustainability, aligning with local development plans focused on enhancing the quality of life for the community.
