Amman: The Ministry of Education has announced the completion of its preparations to commence the new academic year 2025/2026 next Sunday. Sahar Shakhatreh, the Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, confirmed the readiness during a tour of the school textbook warehouses in Amman’s Muqablin area and Hashemi Al Shamali School on Sunday. She highlighted that teaching staff have already started their duties in ministry-affiliated schools across the nation.
According to Jordan News Agency, Shakhatreh emphasized that all necessary procedures for receiving students have been finalized. This includes the supply of textbooks, distribution of classrooms, and recruitment of teaching staff in public schools. She also mentioned ongoing efforts to maintain and manufacture school desks, acknowledging the significant contributions of schools and vocational workshops in meeting school needs.
To ensure a seamless academic year, Shakhatreh called on the ministry’s central departments to enhance their communication with the education sector throughout the Kingdom. She stressed the importance of continuous monitoring of preparations to overcome challenges and improve outcomes, thereby providing an appropriate learning environment for students.
