Amman: Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) stated that the recent power disruptions experienced during the ongoing heatwave were “limited and merely isolated malfunctions,” attributing the minimal impact to its continuous monitoring of the Kingdom’s electricity grid, especially given the increased loads during the extreme weather conditions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the EMRC, in a press statement on Wednesday, emphasized that the outages were “limited and represented individual cases, which were quickly addressed.” The commission praised the efforts of the field technical personnel who were instrumental in managing these disruptions effectively.
The EMRC further elaborated that its monitoring and emergency unit is actively engaged in overseeing all power networks across the nation. It also highlighted the availability of a 24-hour emergency number, which citizens can use to report any power-related complaints, ensuring swift response and resolution.
