Amman: Jordan Packaging Exhibition (JOPEX 2025), organized by the Eastern Amman Investors Industrial Association (EAIIA), is set to commence next Monday at the International Exhibition Center in Mecca Mall. This marks the fifth consecutive year for the event, which will run for four days and coincide with the International Machinery and Electro-Mechanical Exhibition (JIMEX).
According to Jordan News Agency, the exhibition will feature 24 prominent local industrial companies involved in the packaging, printing, and plastics sectors. The event aims to facilitate networking among companies in the Kingdom’s industrial, commercial, and service sectors while showcasing innovative products and ideas in plastics and packaging solutions for various industrial products.
EAIIA Chairman, Dr. Iyad Abu Haltam, emphasized the role of the packaging, printing, and plastics sectors in complementing all industrial products and connecting producers with consumers. He highlighted the progress made by the Jordanian plastics and packaging industry both locally and globally.
In a statement, Abu Haltam noted that EAIIA’s goal is to connect industrial companies in the packaging, printing, and plastics sectors with the necessary production inputs for various industries. He described JOPEX 2025 as an opportunity for Jordan’s industrial companies and project owners to explore numerous innovative products and ideas in packaging solutions.
Abu Haltam also mentioned that EAIIA invited investors and businesspeople from Arab and friendly countries to visit the exhibition. The aim is for them to learn about the latest developments in Jordan’s packaging technology and potentially establish mutual trade agreements.
He further underscored the importance of the packaging, printing, and plastics sectors in supporting Jordan’s industrial progress. He noted that the development achieved by companies in these sectors acts as a lever for industrial exports, reaching approximately 150 countries globally.
Dr. Abu Haltam pointed out that these sectors have achieved a significant position at the national and regional levels, becoming a benchmark for distribution and access to global markets.
The exhibition will be open daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
According to EAIIA’s statistical data, the packaging, printing, and plastics sectors in the East Amman Industrial Estate (EAIZ) consist of approximately 260 facilities, employing around 5,000 workers. The data further revealed that exports from these sectors amounted to approximately JD40 million in 2024. Meanwhile, EAIZ’s industrial facilities number 1,900 across various sectors, employing approximately 35,000 workers, predominantly Jordanians.
